Shaftesbury Young People, a charity established in 1843 and dedicated to improving the educational outcomes of disadvantaged, vulnerable and excluded young people, is currently looking to recruit two Education Managers to develop services in and out of London. The post holder will manage, develop and grow a 1: 1 provision delivered by a bank of teaching staff. In this exciting role, you will identify and develop partnership opportunities and foster close collaboration with schools, the local authority, commissioners and other providers. You will be responsible for developing the Education service while managing its daily operational provision. In addition to this, you will also develop a robust marketing strategy in partnership with the education manager to drive forward the Education model nationally. The post holder will also manage the delivery of accredited qualifications, all child protection issues and new referrals to the service. You will work closely with the Head of Education to support and grow the service and its staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working with vulnerable young people, will be a qualified teacher and possess strong sales and business development skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and entrepreneurially, you will have excellent presentation skills and experience in managing staff.
