Shaftesbury Young People (SYP) is one of the UK’s oldest children’s Charites, dedicated to the education of, and assistance to, the most disadvantaged and excluded children and young people. We operate in several locations in the Midlands and London and we manage our own adventure education centre on the River Medway.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for qualified teachers, last year QTS education undergraduates and experienced tutors to join Shaftesbury Young People.
This is an ideal flexible role for anyone who is new to the profession, about the qualified, returning educators and those seeking P/T work.
We need both primary and secondary teachers, able to deliver a range of subjects, to work across Manchester with a successful track record of working directly with young people.
You will teach on a one to one basis, work holistically with parents/carers to break down the barriers to education faced by vulnerable and excluded young people.
You must be prepared to support and teach challenging, and socially/ educationally excluded young people.
